This Video Of Me Thinking Elio And I Won At The Track Pretty Much Sums Elio and I's Entire Existence

So for those of you paying attention to my instagram stories over the weekend you know that Elio and I lost all weekend.    As a reminder we always bet as a team.  We can bet whatever we want as long as we put 1,000 each on the race and then we split whatever we make.  I think between the two of us we won 1 race in 2 days?  Anyway this was towards the end of Saturday.   Now I fully admit that before the race Elio told me he had the 9.   However when you bet a billion races it’s easy to forget what the other guy has.   And for some reason during this particular race Elio asked where the 12 was in the middle of it and we spent a good 10 seconds trying to find him.  So I got it in my head that’s who he bet.   The look of confusion on both our faces when we high fived is something I’ll never forget.  I’ve known Elio for close to 20 years and been to 100 horse racing events with him.  I’ve never seen him look that confused.   That’s why I literally asked him “why are you looking at me like that?” And for that matter so was I.   Just completely lost for like 5 seconds until I could process what the hell was going on.  It’s what makes the track the best and worst of all places.   I can’t wait for the Preakness which is only 2 weeks away.
